Mai Dong
Although Mai Dong village has been urbanized for nearly forty years, the people here, generally in Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri district, are still working diligently. The women always stay up until midnight to make beans and wake up early to sell them at local markets; visitors from far away still ask about Dinh hamlet, Chua village, Dong Com village, Cua Linh hamlet, Mo Tao village or other famous locations at Mai Dong village.

The precious thing is that despite changes, Mai Dong people always strive to preserve old vestiges. In 1986, Mai Dong communal house was ranked as a national historical relic by the State. According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong (Luu) in alley 127, lane 254 Minh Khai street, her family has a profession of making beans that has been passed down for generations. She herself was taught by her parents to make tofu from a young age. This year is 85 years old, but Mr. Luu still quickly packs beans, every day he and his two daughters make more than 10kg of soybeans, all stages "still follow the old man's way", so the beans retain their own flavor. Wherever the beans go, someone in the neighborhood comes to buy them all. Those who have the heart to keep the ancestral profession, there are still many in the village.

Traditional occupations in Mai Dong, as well as relics, legends and legends in this historical land, have been strung together from thousands of years ago to today. And firmly believe that no matter how much the village changes tomorrow, the village spirit will still be cherished and preserved by generations of people here.
